So…

My grandpa (known officially to my family as “Pa”) walked into the neighborhood music school and asked the receptionist “will you please take on my three-year-old granddaughter as a student?”. They said no. He kept going back until a teacher in marvelously stylish gold boots said “I’ll take her”, and I proceeded to screech that bow across the strings of my great-great grandmother’s violin, assaulting the ears of listeners and loving every minute of it. I have not stopped playing music since. And the screeching has stopped! Mostly.

I went to Belmont University for songwriting (you can teach that?) and audio engineering. In Los Angeles I interned for Hans Zimmer’s composing company 14th Street Music. Now I produce my own music and film videos for that music. With over 500,000 followers/subscribers across social platforms I am sharing music that that I create in my Vancouver, BC apartment. You are not my “fans”. What a curious term. You are my fellow music lovers. I am connecting with people who care about music as much as I do and that is my only intention.

In 2024 I plan to release one song per month created solely by me in my home studio. This is an experiment that intends to teach me a whole lot and test my skills as a musician, producer and artist, and show other girls that you can do it yourself!
